FRAMINGHAM - The target date for activating the new traffic light at Edgell Road and Central Street is now Friday, January 17, according to a city of Framingham Facebook post citing the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. However, snow or “extreme cold temperatures” could cause delays.
Markings Inc. is scheduled to finish permanent line striping tomorrow, Monday Jan. 13, the post says. And on Friday, Ocean State/CMS is expected to be on site to program the cameras and traffic signals.
Once that happens, the lights should be fully functional.
The project is supposed to include improved bicycle accommodation with “consistent five-foot shoulders through the project area”, as well as ADA-compliant sidewalks for pedestrians.
