Honoring the Dark; Trusting the Promise of Light. Open Spirit hosts its annual solstice event on Saturday, Dec. 21 at 7:30 pm both in person and online “for an hour of gentle yoga, deep relaxation, and guided meditation.” Participants can sit on a chair or mat, and should bring a candle to light. McAuliffe Library hosts a Winter Solstice Craft activity from 11 am to noon on Saturday: Make your own pine cone bird feeders for birds in your yard. All ages are welcome. The program is peanut butter-free. https://framinghamlibrary.org/calendar/event/winter-solstice-craft1

Nearby, First Parish Church in Sudbury’s Earth-Centered Traditions group will host its annual Winter Solstice Ritual starting at 6 pm, featuring a “turn the wheel of the year,” potluck feast, and carols. 327 Concord Road.
