Jack Lewis election sign

Update: Framingham unofficial results have been released: Rep. Lewis outpaced Mr. Phelps 2,821 - 306
Ashland unofficial results: Lewis 1,607 - Phelps 586

Total unofficial results, according to my calculations: Rep. Jack Patrick Lewis has defeated Carlton I. Phelps 4428 - 892

There are more results yet to come in, but early results look decisive in the 7th Middlesex House race: State Rep. Jack Patrick Lewis has taken a commanding lead in three Framingham precincts that reported results at Walsh Middle School early tonight. Those results were announced prior to the data being sent to the City Clerk’s office for final city-wide tabulation.

Rep. Lewis garnered 990 votes to challenger Carlton Phelps’s 94 in Precincts 18, 25, and 26. That’s 91% to 9%, excluding write-ins and blanks. Unless Ashland is an utter blowout the other way, it appears that Rep. Lewis will win this primary handily.

In the primary for Governor’s Council District 2, the results were close between Muriel Kramer and Tamisha Civil in Precincts 18 and 26, but Kramer led comfortably in Precinct 25. However, the district includes around 36 other cities and town, so this is just a very small percent of overall totals.
