There will be a ceremony this Thursday, Sept. 28 at 10 a.m.marking Framingham’s purchase of 3.2 miles of rail right of way aimed at extending the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail into the city. The event will take place outside the McAuliffe Library. Parking is available at the library or at 805 Water Street (the Rousseau property).
The Framingham portion of the trial will cross Water Street by the library and connect up to the portion of the trail in progress in Sudbury, eventually crossing Rte. 20 near the Sudbury Farms shopping center. That in turn will link up with the existing trail in Concord northward to Lowell.
