Each of our District 2 City Council candidates is hosting a campaign event in the coming days.
Sean Silk is sponsoring a “2023 election extravaganza” this Saturday, Sept. 23, 10:30 am to 2:30 pm at Saxonville Mills featuring “food, music, and fun.” And, Brandon Ward’s campaign kick-off reception is next Wednesday, Sept. 27, 5:30 to 7 pm at Café Belô.
Details
Silk’s event will be on John H Finley III Way off Concord Street in the Mills courtyard. Attendees can enter the courtyard between Mill 5 and the old fire station. In case of bad weather, activities will be on the 3rd floor of Mill 5.
Ward is inviting residents to hear from him and others on “why this City Council race is so important”, and to find out how to volunteer and get involved. The host committee for Ward’s reception includes District 2 City Councilor Cesar Stewart-Morales, District 2 School Committee Member David Gordon, former District 2 City Councilor Pam Richardson, local State Rep. Jack Patrick Lewis, and former state Reps. John Stasik & David Magnani, as well as current City Council President Philip Ottaviani.
Café Belô is at 2 Beacon St. and has both indoor and outdoor seating.
