Silk Global Cuisine is open in Framingham Centre
Silk Global Cuisine is open in Framingham Centre at One Edgell Road just north of Rte. 9 (where Volturno’s used to be). That’s not exactly in District 2, but hopefully close enough for neighborhood interest! The owner told me they just opened last Thursday.
The lunch menu features some interesting burgers including regular/Impossible Burger, a Thai pulled pork burger, bacon & kimchi burger, and Moroccan lamb burger; there are also several sandwiches and wraps.
The dinner menu includes appetizers such as Korean fried chicken bao buns, fried crispy Silk chicken wings, spinach masala falafel, and salt & pepper squid. Main dishes include flat breads, Marrakesh bouillabaise, zatar chicken, teriyaki sirloin steak, and other options that looked rather tempting.
There is a wood-fired oven for flat breads, I believe from the Volturno days.
For those not yet ready for indoor dining, the restaurant expects to have outdoor seating on the terrace along Edgell Road near the Framingham Centre Common.
You can see some photos of the menu (it’s not online yet) below:
