Lorena Tovar, David Gordon Advance in School Committee Preliminary Election

In a low-turnout election, Tovar finished first and incumbent Gordon was second.

FRAMINGHAM – Lorena Tovar easily took the number-one spot in today’s preliminary election for District 2 School Committee, while incumbent David Gordon finished second and will also advance to the Nov. 4 general election. Turnout was just 4.5%.

According to unofficial results posted on the city website, Tovar received 146 votes, Gordon garnered 81 votes, and challenger Luther Evans ended with 24 votes.
