More than two dozen communities across Massachusetts including Framingham have planned events Saturday, Sept. 28 in conjunction with this year’s National Good Neighbor Day.

In Framingham, the city is hosting a Find Your People Fair at the Memorial Building in Nevins Hall, 150 Concord St., from 10 am to 1 pm. More than 30 organizations have signed up to participate. More info: https://framinghamma.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=3086

Closer to our neighborhood although in another town, Sudbury’s Goodnow Library is hosting live music from noon to 2 pm on the front lawn - ’50s and early ’60s rock and roll by Retro Polatin. Attendees are welcome to pack a picnic. There will also be donuts and cider from the Goodnow Library Foundation, rock painting on the library front lawn, and a Halloween costume swap. The library is at 21 Concord Road just north of Rte. 20. More info: https://sudbury.ma.us/librarytrustees/2024/09/24/good-neighbor-day-at-goodnow-library/

While not an official Good Neighbor Day event, the Framingham main library downtown is hosting a Come Learn Bachata class and dance party Saturday from 3 to 5 pm. Billed as “beginner-friendly and accessible” , everyone is welcome - no partner is needed! A social dance party with Bachata music will follow an hour-long lesson. For adults. Bachata music and dance originated in the Dominican Republic and is listed as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
